General Statement of Duties
Provides traffic control for the purpose of safely crossing school children at designated school crossings; does related work as required.
Some knowledge of traffic regulations; ability and willingness to work in the most inclement weather throughout the year; willingness to work with and a liking for children; ability to follow oral and written instructions; courtesy; tact; physical condition that permits such activities as walking, standing for extended periods and working under adverse temperatures and /or weather conditions.
A criminal history record check and fingerprinting is conducted on all persons conditionally offered employment, including a conditional offer of initial employment, or a conditional offer to promote, demote, or laterally transfer an employee.
Minimum Requirements
Graduation from high school; OR, any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
