General Statement of Duties

 Assumes those duties assigned by the principal to ensure the continued achievement of all students and the effective operation of the school.

Essential Duties

Assumes those duties assigned by the principal to ensure the continued achievement of all students and the effective operation of the school.  Those duties could include, but are not limited to the following:

 

  • Monitors and administers discipline; works directly with the entire school community on disciplinary issues
  • Works with the principal in the implementation of the curricular and extracurricular programs
  • Supervises parts of school program as assigned, e.g. Exceptional Education, athletics, special programs, etc.
  • Assists in development of master schedule as needed
  • Provides staff support by availability to attend county meetings such as staff development, the PTA County Council, the Lay Advisory Committee as needed
  • Attends work daily and is engaged and on task
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Observes and evaluates classroom teachers and support personnel
Additional Information

This is a 12-month position. The annual salary will be prorated based upon the actual work begin date.

Starting in the 2023-24 school year, Henrico County Public Schools will designate select schools with high rates of vacant positions and provisionally licensed staff as Opportunity Schools. This position qualifies for an Opportunity School stipend of $3,500.

Minimum Requirements


Must hold or be eligible for a Virginia teaching license with an endorsement in Administration and Supervision.
